Parthiv Taal Pulp / তালের পাল্প
The Taste of Janmashtami, Preserved with Care
In Bengal, Janmashtami without Taal-er Bora, Taal-er Kheer, Taal-er Luchi is unimaginable. But taal season comes only once a year. And the pulp? It spoils in 2 days.
That's why at Parthiv, we decided to preserve this tradition — not with shortcuts, but with science + tradition.
How We Make Parthiv Taal Pulp
-
The Right Tree
We first identify taal trees whose pulp is naturally sweet. Not every taal is good for eating. Our farmers know them by heart.
-
Naturally Fallen Fruit
We only collect fruit that falls on its own when fully ripe. No plucking. No chemicals. That's when the sweetness is at its peak.
-
Traditional Processing
The pulp is strained by hand in muslin cloths to remove all fiber. Then slow-boiled for 30 minutes. This evaporates excess moisture and kills germs naturally.
-
Safe Preservation
We add a little sugar, vinegar, and permitted Class 2 preservatives as per FSSAI norms. Result: 6 months shelf life without fridge. Once opened, just keep it in the fridge and use.
No artificial flavor. No artificial color.
Just pure taal, the way Ma made it.
