Product Description

Govinda Bhog (Absolute Pure & Natural) - Non Par Boiled

Parthiv Premium Govinda Bhog Rice is an exquisite aromatic heritage rice, traditionally cultivated by skilled farmers in the fertile fields of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Revered for generations for its naturally fragrant, delicate grains, Govinda Bhog is especially suited to Bengali devotional food and Bhog preparation.

How to Cook Govinda Bhog Non Par Boiled Rice

For 1 cup (approximately 200 g) rice:

  1. Rinse Gently: Wash the rice 2–3 times with clean water. Avoid vigorous rubbing to preserve the natural character and aroma of the delicate grains.
  2. Soak: Soak for 15–20 minutes to encourage even cooking. Drain the soaking water completely.
  3. Boil: Bring approximately 4–5 cups of fresh water to a boil.
  4. Cook: Add the soaked rice and cook uncovered over medium heat for approximately 10–15 minutes, until the grains are tender, fragrant and remain separate.
  5. Drain the Starch: Carefully drain the excess cooking water through a colander.
  6. Rest: Return the rice to the warm vessel, cover and allow it to rest for 5–10 minutes.
  7. Fluff and Serve: Gently fluff with a rice spoon or fork and serve warm.

For Healthy Everyday Eating

  • Keep it simple: Enjoy Govinda Bhog with seasonal vegetables, dal, leafy greens and suitable protein for a balanced meal.
  • Use the draining method: Draining excess cooking water gives a lighter, separate-grain preparation.
  • Respect the grain: Gentle washing, soaking and cooking help retain its natural aroma, texture and character.
  • Mindful portions: Enjoy as part of a varied and balanced diet.
